With a love of symbolism and of the Gospel, everything Mary paints has a piece of scholarship and a part of poetry. Her work shows a delight in the interplay of light and form, the color of nature, the nature of color, and a reflection of the beauty of nature, especially the human figure. Mary graduated from BYU in Illustration, took a hiatus from the art world to focus on her six children, and has recently started taking classes at Beaux-Arts Academy in Provo, Utah, for a complete classical art education. Her highest ideal as an artist is to bring glory to God by being a creator of beauty, to illuminate the highest ideas, and to build her personal faith and that of others through visual art.
